Lake Bogoria National Reserve

Lake Bogoria is one of the Great Rift Valley Lakes located on the floor of the rift valley, with its surrounding lakes, it forms Lake Bogoria National Reserve. The Major attractions at Lake Bogoria National Reserve are hot geysers and hot springs and flamingos. The Lake offer good habitation for flocks of Flamingos whereby most of the lakes contain algae, favorable food for them. The Movement of flamingoes depends on water lever and algae concentration. The Reserve also contain little wildlife like; Greater Kudu, buffalo, zebra, cheetah, Olive baboons, spotted hyena, caracal, impala and warthog. The Lake was opened as a tourist destination in 1970 with established of lodges, public and private campsites.
