Kibo Safari Camp

Kibo Safari Camp lies within the Amboseli National Reserve with splendid views of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Amboseli, meaning “salty dust” in maa, the language of the Maasai, is a place of stark contrast. The park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery the park is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Kibo Safari Camp has 73 self-contained tents for single, double, triple and family accommodation. The beds have been custom designed and locally made using bush logs and will ensure a good night’s sleep! All tents have flush toilets, showers, and wash basins. You can enjoy your shower as you like: bubbling hot or refreshing cold. For the duration of your stay in the African bush, Kibo Safari Camp will be your home away from home!

Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Set in 200 acres of private land, and with a rustic charm off all its own, the lodges nestle in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Its located 250kms from Nairobi on a paved road except for the last 4kms of all-weather marram, the journey takes between 3 and 4 hours. Flying from Nairobi takes approximately 40 minutes, and it is an hour’s transfer time from the airstrip to the lodge. Rustic, well-spaced cottages meander through the vast expanse of mature gardens and house eighty-three guest rooms. These are all brightly decorated with Maasai themed wall murals, and each room has been purpose built to contain either one or two queen sized beds as well as a veranda. The Lodge also has a luxuriously appointed, extremely spacious, two-bedroom Presidential suite with a private dining room and an attached kitchenette, and also with a huge lounge and a quite simply vast veranda

Amboseli Tortilis Camp

Tortilis Camp has a prime location for witnessing the majesty of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. The Camp was named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and embraces a hill in one of Amboseli’s areas of Acacia Tortilis woodland. Located in a private conservancy bordering the national park, game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals take place both inside the national park and in the conservancy, where guests enjoy exclusivity. The tents are all spacious, with king or twin beds and elegant en suite bathrooms. There is a main lounge, bar and dining area, all exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs. The Private House and Family Tent are located slightly separate to the main camp, upon the hill where they share a pool.

AA Amboseli Lodge is built in a three-tier architectural design and is strategically located 2km from Amboseli National Park main gate (Kimana Gate) and conveniently within the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road. It is 240 km from Nairobi, 16km from Amboseli airstrip, 20 km from the Emali-, 20 km from the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road and commands a panoramic view of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free Standing Mountain. With a total of 98 rooms, the lodge is intimate and friendly with many personal touches.
